Sony Digital Authoring Center, Culver City, CA

The Sony Digital Authoring Center is a division of Sony Pictures that produces DVD content from their movies. Their acquisition of MGM Pictures meant they had to expand their facility in order to meet the demand for increased capacity, and to do it while meeting their existing tight production schedule. They turned to OBEDIA for help.

OBEDIA provided a team of technical specialists with a mix of Networking, Digital Audio Workstation and Video Editing experience. We expanded their Network and installed backup and network storage devices. We built and configured new Video and Audio Editing Workstations, and we continue to maintain their system today. We also provide helpdesk support for a range of business and digital media applications.

We are pleased to report that the expansion of their facility was successful and the transition was managed without major problems.

AMD, Sunnyvale CA

AMD’s Premiere Artists and Masters use their DAW’s in many different environments from record production to audio post for film and television as well as laptop location recording. AMD turned to OBEDIA to design the workstations and support and train their Premiere Artists and Masters.

TC Electronic, Westlake Village, CA

TC Electronic are makers of the world renowned Powercore™ hardware and software plug ins. The platform integrates with virtually any VST, AU and RTAS* based digital audio workstation for Mac or PC.

Consequently the TC technical support team are faced with supporting and troubleshooting numerous host applications as well as their own Powercore Plug ins. They turned to OBEDIA for help

We developed a tailor made training program specifically focused on the common issues faced by integrating their plug ins with other manufacturers host software applications. They gained a thorough understanding of the host software and are now in a much better position to serve their customers needs.

The Grammy Foundation, Los Angeles, CA

We were honored to be asked to provide equipment and training for the Grammy® Pro Sessions events held in Los Angeles CA., Orlando FL, and San Francisco CA by the partnership of the Grammy Foundation® and Electronic Arts™.

Grammy® Pro Sessions is a project and performance based program that connects high school and collegiate aged students with Music Industry professionals. These particular events were focused on introducing students to the philosophies and processes involved in interactive sound design and Music composition for Video Games.

OBEDIA in partnership with Apple provided the workstations running Logic 7 and Garage Band. We Installed the programs and ensured they were up and running trouble free. OBEDIA’s Apple certified specialist provided the training for the students on Logic Pro 7, and finally we produced a DVD of the day’s events for all the students to take away with them.

Guitar Center, Westlake Village, CA

Guitar Center are the largest reseller of musical instruments and recording gear worldwide with nearly 200 stores in the United States. Renowned for their excellent customer service they have taken it to the next level by selecting OBEDIA to provide training for their Software and DAW customers.

The tutorials are one on one sessions with OBEDIA specialists designed to take the customer from the installation process through recording and onto more advanced techniques. The customer chooses what they want to accomplish when they want to accomplish it and the sessions are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

eSession.com, Austin TX

eSession.com is an Internet database of the music industry’s top musicians, engineers and producers. The website is designed so that clients around the world can hire members of the database, communicate with them, and work in real-time with them.

Once a member is hired by a client the work starts on the project. Audio files of tracks and mixes are constantly sent back and forth as the client reviews progress and sends feedback.

OBEDIA is on call 24/7 to ensure that the file transfers are trouble free and the DAW’s keep running. It’s our job at OBEDIA to make sure that no technical issues get in the way of the project being completed in a timely fashion.
